Call Before You Dig

With the arival of Spring comes outdoor projects. If you are planning to install a fence or replace your fence, plant trees, or dig in any way on your property, it is law that you call 811 before you dig. You are required to provide 2 business days notice before you begin the work.
811 will contact each utility provider, (water/sewer, phones, gas, electricity), that is registered with them and notify them of your intentions. Each utility will then locate their lines to prevent you from hitting them and causing you great expense(s). They will tell you each utility they will contact for you. If they do not list one you know to be present, it is your responibility to contact that utility directly.
