With the onset of Spring just around the corner, please remember the law requires you to call 811 two business days, (excluding weekends and holidays), before you dig.  This includes digging holes for the installation of a fence.  As a property owner, you should insist anyone doing work for you call 811 for locates of all utility lines.  811 will obtain information from the caller pertaining to the type of work being done, location of work to be done, as well as who is calling.  This information is distributed to all utilities, water, electric, gas, and phones in the area, and those companies will come out to the location and mark thier lines or give an all clear of the area.
